Sawmill River Arts
Celebrating its 12th year as an artist’s collective, the gallery is located at the iconic Montague Bookmill on the Sawmill River waterfall, the Sawmill River Arts Gallery currently includes 15 member artists and 18 guest artists who are all exclusively local to the Western MA area. Shop our collection of work that includes jewelry, paintings, photography, pottery, gourds, collage, note cards, hooked rugs, wearable fiber art, as well as creations in wood and metal.
The Montague Bookmill
The Gallery is just one of many local businesses housed in The Montague Bookmill complex.
In addition to the iconic book store, the is a restaurant, The Lady Killigrew, as well as a music shop Turn It Up!
With plenty of outdoor seating overlooking the waterfall, it has become the ideal location to visit for a socially distant get away to the hills of Western Massachusetts.
The Artists
The Gallery currently has 15 member artists and 18 guest artists, contributing a wide range of mediums including wearable textiles, jewelry, ceramics, paintings, cutting boards and other woodworks, pastels, local photographs, gourd sculptures, garden sculptures, ornaments, prints, quilts, and much more, that are all exclusively from the Pioneer Valley area.
