Gift of Art – Saturdays, December 8, 15, 22

Come celebrate the holidays with the “Gift of Art” at the Sawmill River Arts Gallery at the Montague Mill. Please visit us and keep your shopping local. Remember “MILLS NOT MALLS!” We are presenting the wonderful works of our over 40 member and consignor artists, with many more gift and decorative items added for the season.

Soak up the galleries’ festive, sunny atmosphere while enjoying our beautiful paintings and prints. Sip a mug of hot mulled cider and munch a cookie and choose the perfect locally-made ornament to decorate your tree. Keep family and friends warm with hand woven and knitted shawls, hats and scarves and colorful quilts.

Delight your family and friends with fantastic  jewelry, exotic blown glass, hand carved bowls, dragonfly pottery, sushi plates and utensils, whimsical ceramic animals, wild horse photography, upcycled wool kids’ toys (blue pigs, striped ponies. purple cats), herbal spritzers and salves- and more beyond your wildest imagination!

Saturdays in December will feature free refreshments, demonstrations and an opportunity to meet many of the artists.

The “Gift of Art” celebrations will take place on 3 Saturdays in December: December 8, 12-8 pm, and on the 15th & 22nd, 12-6pm.

In addition to our regular hours Thursday-Sunday 12-6 pm, for the icing on the cake, we will be open Christmas Eve day, Monday, December 24 from 11-4 pm.

Sawmill River Arts Gallery members are: painters Louise Minks, Kerry Stone, Lana Fiala, Christine Mero, Kate Spencer and Judith Seelig; quilter Jill Bromberg; weavers Susan Loring-Wells and Kathy Litchfield; jewelry designers Sue Essig and John Moore; and potter Jaye Pope.
