“Mills, Not Malls” is a saying that Louise Minks loves to share with us at Sawmill River Arts (located adjacent to the Montague Bookmill, of course). The idea of keeping it local is important to artists living within our community and we’d love to welcome you to our gallery for your holiday shopping!
Stop by to view our “Light in the Darkness” winter exhibit – through Jan. 1 – guaranteed to lift your spirits with beauty and light.
Every time you visit, you’ll be greeted by a member artist staffing every day, and that person will be happy to show you around and share stories about artists’ work to further personalize your experience.
Sawmill River Arts Gallery offers a diverse array of fine art and fine craft — choose from pottery, jewelry, scarves (knitted, felted or handwoven!), gourds, photography, paintings, prints, cards, ornaments, candles and so much more.
We have a special room devoted entirely to children’s gifts, including Sharon Loehr-Lapan’s plush “Dream Critters” and Kerry Stone’s onesies.
Unique, one-of-a-kind items abound at Sawmill River Arts. Stop by to see handmade items you won’t find anywhere else, truly! With 15 member artists and over 20 consignors, we offer something for everyone on your list. We’d love to see you soon!
