Jeannie is a painter who works in watercolor, acrylic, and handmade paperpulp, a technique she learned as an apprentice at Rugg Road Handmade Paper studio in Boston. Her unique pulp paintings do not have any ‘paint’ at all, but are created by layering many shapes and lines of pigmented pulps. The fibers bond in the drying process, creating the final textured piece. Her work is inspired by travel to Europe, Mexico, the Caribbean, and the rural landscapes and architecture of New England. She is excited to join the Sawmill River Gallery collaborative, where she displays her original artwork along with prints and notecards.
