Interested in Consigning?
The Sawmill River Arts Gallery accepts a wide selection of quality work from Pioneer Valley artists. A committee of gallery members reviews requests for participation from interested artists and crafts people. If an artist is accepted as a consignor, the gallery retains 50 percent of sales and the consignor receives 50 percent. The committee determines the acceptance of new work based on space available, display considerations and the quality of the work. Our goal is to have a diverse selection of work, in a variety of media, with a range of price points.
There are three steps to becoming a consignor artist at Sawmill River Arts Gallery:
Email the committee information about yourself and your medium, 3-4 photos of your work, with retail prices and a link to your website if you have one. Our email address: firstname.lastname@example.org.
If the committee wants to see your work in person, you will receive a call to bring samples of your work to the gallery. However, this is not a guarantee that your work will be accepted. The gallery receives numerous requests from excellent artisans, but since space is limited, no everyone can be accepted.
If your work is accepted, the committee will schedule an appointment for you to bring in your work, complete an Inventory Form (downloadable version below) and sign the Consignor Agreement (at the gallery, when you drop off your work).
