Scenic alternative: about a mile up Rte. 47 from Sunderland Center go left onto Falls Road. From Amherst:
Rte. 63 north to Montague Center exit (junction with Rte. 47), eight miles. Take a left and go to end of street (200 yards), and take a right. Go through Montague Center, bear left past the village green one quarter mile to small bridge. Sawmill River Arts is on the left.

From Greenfield and points west:
Rte. 2 east to Turners Falls. At the lights by the Turners Falls Bridge (Gas station across on your left) go right, cross bridge, then left at first stoplight (past the Town Offices and Police Station). Go up the hill and take the right fork onto Turners Falls Road. Follow this into Montague about 5 miles. Sawmill River Arts will be on your right.

    Dear Valley Artists and Craftspeople,

I want to extend an invitation to you to sell your unique products in our annual Stone Soup Bazaar. The Bazaar is an annual holiday shopping fundraising event held at the Unitarian Universalist Society of Amherst, 121 North Pleasant St., Amherst, from 10 AM to 4PM Saturday, December 2nd. In the past our arts and crafts vendors have sold their work in pottery, fabrics, jewelry, photography, wood, mixed-media printing, leather, handmade soap making, and also created some delicious edibles. Table space for your products costs $65 for an 8 foot wide x 6 foot deep vending area that includes one foot between display tables.

The Stone Soup Bazaar is scheduled to coincide with the Amherst Business Improvement District’s Greeting Card and Merry Maple shopping day. It also includes morning coffee/tea and muffins, homemade soups and bread for lunch, music, and good company. This year we will also be offering select gift baskets and a congregation made quilt for a raffle. The Bazaar is held in the sunny, large UUSA sanctuary and social hall. Our commercial kitchen is adjacent to the social hall, making refreshments easily accessible for vendors and guests. Our new building has an elevator, men’s and women’s bathrooms upstairs, and meets all accessibility requirements.

If you are interested in participating, please contact Sue Kelsey for an application at smkelsey53@gmail.com or call at 413/536-2676. We hope you decide to participate!

Sue Kelsey for the UUSA Stone Soup Committee
